The Krondorf wine story is rich, colourful and steeped in Barossa Valley history, beginning in the 1850s with the establishment of the original Glenview winery.
Fast forward over a century to 1978 when the Krondorf brand was launched by the legendary winemakers Grant Burge and Ian Wilson. Just two years later in 1980 Krondorf achieved Australia’s most acclaimed wine award, winning the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy with a red `Burgundy`.
The trophy established a tradition of success. Indeed, in just the last decade, Krondorf wines have won over 300 wine show medals, including multiple trophies and scores of Gold and Silver medals as well as recent 90+ ratings from James Halliday.
